The Passport for Life program enables passengers with an easily controlled condition to be adopted quickly, before the end of their basic care and/or follow-up for their condition. Families are supported by the organization while medical care is completed, and have the opportunity to contribute to the recovery of their future family member. About me
Hello, I'm Princess! I'm an adorable 3-year-old female looking for her lifelong match. I come from the Manawan community. I was entrusted to Mission Mayday because the SPA that had taken me in could not keep me. So I boarded the organization, which took the opportunity to offer me extensive tests and care, and I’m now ready to find a family through the Passport for Life program.
During my time in my foster family, I have gradually learned to tolerate loneliness. I found it difficult at first, but I'm progressing at my own pace with the help of the people who look after me. I'm very affectionate, calm, sociable and gentle. I'm a fast learner and I absolutely love food. I know the “sit” and “lie down” commands, I have a good recall, and we are currently working on heel walk. I can be reactive when I meet dogs and other animals, so a quiet environment will be prioritized. City life would be too hectic for me.
I'm always happy to meet new people. I have to say that I really like getting attention! I'm not very energetic, but I do like to play sometimes. I love interactive toys with wet food inside, so it will be important to provide me with mental stimulation sessions (frozen kongs, interactive bowls, treat balls, etc.). This helps me to cope when I'm on my own without getting too anxious.
I have formed a strong bond with my foster mom, and I want to keep her just for myself. I tend to protect her from other dogs, so it will be important that I am the only dog in my future home. Don’t worry, I have love to give for two! I very much like sleeping with my human and spending time with them. I'm the ideal companion for TV nights and spending the night cuddled up together.
My foster family would have loved to keep me forever, but unfortunately, I don't get along with the other dog in the house, so we have to be separated. I think I deserve to have my own human or humans all to myself now. I'm told that as soon as a family meets me, they will fall under my spell, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I find them soon!
I've received all my basic care, and I'm taking a preventive treatment because I tested positive for Lyme disease (spread by certain ticks) even though I have no symptoms. I'll just need to take a follow-up test in 6 months, and the organization can cover this, unless the family that adopts me would prefer to go to their own vet clinic. It also seems that I have a broken tooth, so I'm scheduled for a dental appointment soon in Pointe-aux-Trembles; all at Mission Mayday's expense.
I can't wait to find my perfect match! If you think you're the right family for me, please fill in the form below!
Cats
I haven't been evaluated with cats, so I'm looking for a home that doesn't have any.
Dogs
I need my space so I’m happier when I'm the only dog.
Other pets
I've never lived with small animals, but I have prey drive.
Children
I can live with children aged 6 and over who are used to dogs.
How does adoption work?
You will be adopting an animal whose care has not yet been completed, which means that you will be responsible for it in the event of an incident, and for certain purchases (accessories, treats, food, etc.). The organization will cover the completion of basic care, spay/neuter, and care related to the animal's condition if applicable. Unlike many organizations that only offer the 1st dose of vaccines, we cover the entire vaccination protocol for all our passengers.
Interview
A member of our team will call you to discuss the animal
Arrival
We will come and deliver it to your home if you are selected.
Commitment
You will become responsible for him, but we will manage the care
Transportation
You will need to take the animal to its appointments at our clinics
