Krispies
The Passport for Life program enables passengers with an easily controlled condition to be adopted quickly, before the end of their basic care and/or follow-up for their condition. Families are supported by the organization while medical care is completed, and have the opportunity to contribute to the recovery of their future family member. Mission Mayday covers the basic care and spay/neuter of all animals in the program.

About me
Hi, I'm Krispies and I'm looking for a forever family who will accept me despite my difference! I'm a large 2-month-old Husky puppy. I was neutered by the SPCA before my transfer and my vaccinations have been started. People say I'm extremely well-behaved, so I'm going to introduce myself to you!
I'm sociable with everyone I meet, be they dogs, cats or children. A quiet environment would be ideal, however, as I have a malformation (a megaesophagus) which is well controlled when I stay quiet. Apart from that, I play and learn tricks like all puppies my age. I'm super smart! I'm rewarded with liquid treats which I lick up, as I can't swallow any solid treats.
I love going outside, and chasing tree leaves that blow in the wind. I'm an explorer by nature and I'm not afraid of anything. I always enjoy discovering new places and making friends. Mégane brings me to work and it goes really well. Although I enjoy receiving attention, I also know how to keep myself busy on my own with my toys. Of course, I sleep a lot because I'm still young! Given my age, you'll have to work with me on potty training and bite inhibition. Sometimes I can pinch hard when we're playing tug-of-war. My favourite toy? I love chasing balls. I take them in my mouth and have the time of my life!
Now I'll explain my deformity, because it can't be corrected. There's a pocket in my oesophagus and I can't eat normally without regurgitating. I eat balls of wet food standing up. For the moment, I'm eating 4 meals a day, but we'll eventually go down to 3 when my little body has regained its strength. Right now, I eat my meals in 11 to 15 minutes, and stay in the arms of humans for 25 minutes after that. Gradually, the time will be reduced as much as possible without affecting me. Since my arrival at Mission Mayday, I've been stable because I hardly ever regurgitate, and I've quickly recovered from my nasal discharge. When I'm older, the humans will be able to build me a Bailey chair that will adjust to me as I grow. It will enable me to remain upright without assistance. For now, I'm too young and growing too fast, but I can't wait to get one!
I'm ready to take flight through the Passport for Life program. My future family will be supported by the organization for a while before I'm finally adopted. Mission Mayday will pay for my food during this period, and my medical supervisor will be on hand to find the perfect formula to help me manage my condition! My vaccinations and booster shots will be covered by Mission Mayday. Do you want to give me the chance to live a good life?
Cats
I currently live with a cat and I respect him, but I sometimes run after it to play.
Dogs
I like to meet other dogs and very quickly do play bows.
Other pets
I've never lived with small animals, so compatibility would have to be assessed.
Kids
I sometimes bite hard, so I could hurt small children by accident.
How does adoption work?
You will be adopting an animal whose care has not yet been completed, which means that you will be responsible for it in the event of an incident, and for certain purchases (accessories, treats, food, etc.). The organization will cover the completion of basic care, spay/neuter, and care related to the animal's condition if applicable. Unlike many organizations that only offer the 1st dose of vaccines, we cover the entire vaccination protocol for all our passengers.
