We're located in Montreal. Mission Mayday is a virtual shelter, which means that we have no physical location. All our animals are placed in the homes of committed citizens and our volunteers, while they get back on their paws. Once the animal is ready to take flight, it is adopted by its foster family or posted on our communications platforms.
For ethical reasons, and to ensure the tranquillity of our foster families, we do not permit visits to our animals upon request. If you would like to adopt an animal, you must follow the adoption process. If you find that the animal is not suited to your lifestyle, it may be returned to us.
Because our animals are usually sick or injured, they often stay with us for many months. We therefore don't have a waiting list for our passengers, but you can fill out the adoption form at any time to be contacted if we think an animal matches your profile.
We don't have a financial support program for individuals, but there are solutions if you don't want to surrender your pet to an organization. Read our article on this topic here.
Unfortunately, our fostering methods and contracts are not designed for this type of situation. In the event of an incident, the organization would not be able to handle the consequences, as we already have a great deal of responsibility for our own animals.
